Beginning fall 2017, the Department of Public Health will be pleased to offer a new grant writing course:
“Grant Writing for Public Health and Health Care”
This class is an introduction to grant writing for students with little or no grant writing experience. The course is structured as a semester-long project. Each week students develop a new section of their grant application. This course also utilizes the flipped classroom model – students watch lectures at home before class and spend class time completing skill building assignments, conducting peer reviews, and outlining the next section of their grant application.
The course will be instructed by Kimberly Eck, MPH, PhD, director of the Research Development Team within the Office of Research and Engagement and the newest adjunt professor for the Department of Public Health.
