Graduate Minors

Currently, our department makes two minors available to our MPH and DrPH students: the epidemiology minor and the Intercollegiate Graduate Statistics Program (a statistics minor).


Epidemiology Minor*

Required Semester Hours: a minimum of 12 semester hours

Required Coursework (hours):

  • Public Health 530—Biostatistics (3)
  • Public Health 540—Principles of Epidemiology (3)
  • Advanced Epidemiology Course
    • Doctoral Students
      • Public Health 640—Epidemiology III (3)
    • Master’s Students
      • Public Health 542 – Epidemiology II (3)
  • Approved elective (3)

Intercollegiate Graduate Statistics and Data Science Program (IGSDSP)*

The statistics minor requires 9 semester credit hours. MPH coursework hours may be used to partially satisfy credit hours needed for the respective minors.
