Paul Terry, PhD, MPH received doctoral degrees from Columbia University and Karolinska Institute.
Dr. Terry is an epidemiologist who has studied various exposures (for example, diet and nutrition, tobacco use, obesity, sleep, hormones, melatonin, environmental toxins, gene-environment interaction, and others) in relation to risk of chronic diseases, including cancer, heart disease, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, ALS, ulcerative colitis, and all-cause mortality. He is also interested in biostatistics and epidemiologic methods.
His current research projects include a clinical trial of melatonin supplementation in people with the metabolic syndrome, a case-control study of ovarian cancer in African-American women, and a clinical trial among men diagnosed with prostate cancer.
