We are delighted you are considering the public health graduate programs at the University of Tennessee. We have been inspiring and educating public health professionals since 1969, when our MPH program first achieved accreditation. The MPH program continues to remain accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and has maintained accreditation for over forty years. An anonymous electronic survey of MPH alumni who graduated from 2006 to 2010 was completed in early 2012. The survey sought information and recommendations from alumni to guide and assist faculty and the MPH Academic Program Committee in their quest to continuously improve the degree program.

One portion of the survey sought information related to employment status and the type of employing organization.

Over 30 percent of CHE and HPM students who completed their field practice spring 2012 through spring 2015 were employed by their field practice site. Others used field practice as a springboard to employment elsewhere, while a smaller group pursued further education.
