On February 12, Paul Erwin, professor and public health department head of the University of Tennessee Department of Public Health, appeared on the WATE-6, the Knoxville ABC affiliate, to offer expert advice on the Zika virus. Erwin explained the impact that the virus is currently having on public health worldwide. He also explained risk factors for the disease and addressed concerns that the local community might have.
