The Department of Public Health would like to congratulate the following students for being selected to recieve the June D. Gorski Scholarship Endowment* for the 2015-2016 academic year:
Jessica Jurcak
Jessica is a dual Nutrition MS-MPH student in the CEHHS with Public Health Nutrition and Community Health Education concentrations. Her research and teaching experiences at UTK have been unforgettable. A dream career for Jessica would include working with food systems to improve community capacity and environmental sustainability. In addition, she has a soft spot for all animals and a love for all things related to exercising, cooking, and reading. When not doing any of these things or working on schoolwork, you can find Jessica daydreaming about hiking in the Smoky Mountains or cheering on her Cleveland, OH sports teams.
Brittney A. Hardwick
In her spare time, Brittney loves reading, going to music festivals, and exercising. Working hand in hand with others has also stood out to her as a passion in her life. She enjoys collaborating with others through community and school organizations such as the Public Health Graduate Student Association, Alpha Chi Omega Alumni Group, Relay for Life, and Habitat for Humanity. Brittney looks forward to being active in the community and continuing involvement in various programs throughout her life.
