MPH Students Work with Local Children on Neighborhood Safety Project

During the spring 2016 semester, Associate Professor Laurie Meschke’s graduate level public health class worked with local fifth graders on a neighborhood safety program which drew the attention of city officials. The children’s participation and desire to improve their neighborhood was made even more poignant by the recent loss of JaJuan Latham, a 12 year old boy also from that area. An excellent job by all, and what an amazing group of youngsters!
