“I remain grateful the UT MPH program opened my eyes to the broad, diverse world of public health. This program contributed to my professional success by providing me with the skill set needed to make an impact in the lives of the populations I serve. In addition, this program taught me the importance of engaging the audience/community that I want to help. In each of the positions I have held over the past twenty years, I have utilized and leveraged the education and experience I gained in the MPH program. I could not be more appreciative!”
—Anne C. Washburn, MPH (’92)

Where are our alumni employed?

An anonymous electronic survey of MPH alumni who graduated from 2016 to 2019 was completed in May 2020. The survey sought information and recommendations from alumni to guide and assist faculty and the MPH Academic Program Committee in their quest to continuously improve the degree program.

One portion of the survey sought information related to employment status and the type of employing organization.

Over 30 percent of CHE and HPM students who completed their field practice spring 2012 through spring 2015 were employed by their field practice site. Others used field practice as a springboard to employment elsewhere, while a smaller group pursued further education.
