Are you considering a Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree?
Beginning in the 2023-2024 Undergraduate Catalog, UTK undergraduate students pursuing the Public Health Minor or the Public Health Major, if qualified, may apply during spring of junior year for advanced placement in the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program, allowing you to satisfy MPH degree requirements in one year, rather than two. The primary component of the program is that a qualified undergraduate student may take up to 9 hours of approved graduate courses for their senior undergraduate electives and have them count toward an undergraduate degree and an MPH degree.
Program details and eligibility are described in the Catalog:
- Accelerated Combined Public Health Minor – Five-Year BS or BA/MPH Program
- Accelerated Combined Public Health Major – Five-Year BSPH/MPH Program.
The application form opens December 1 and is due March 1 of your junior/third year of undergraduate study. There are limited spots in the Accelerated Combined public health programs. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 1 of junior year.
