Public health minor student receives Torchbearer Award

Diba Seddighi

Diba Seddighi, a senior in our public health undergraduate minor program was recently awarded the Torchbearer Award.  Diba works as an undergraduate research assistant  working for Professor Laurie Meschke.  Her focus of study is global public health with an emphasis on underserved populations.

The Torchbearer Award is the highest honor that an undergraduate student can earn at the University of Tennessee.  It is given to seniors who have shown both academic achievement and a commitment to serving others both at the university and in the community. This year, only eleven students were selected across the university to receive the award.

Congratulations to Diba and all the other students honored with this award!
